Three High Profile Defensive Gun Uses Overnight

Local media reports three high profile defensive gun uses this morning:




POSEY CO., IN (WFIE) -  The owner of a New Harmony pharmacy chased off a burglary suspect.    The sheriff's office arrested 32-year-old Jason Spieker.  (Follow this LINK for more).






Employee fatally shoots robber, second suspect on the run



An employee of a Winston-Salem game store fatally shot an armed robber early Wednesday morning, according to Winston-Salem police.
The 63-year-old store manager was armed with a handgun and there was an exchange of gunfire between him and the two robbers.
One of the robbers shot the store manager in the shoulder.  (Follow link for more.)




The Mason County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting at a home in southern Mason County.

At approximately 11:40 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on the 23000 block of Ashton Upland Road.

The resident of the home indicated that a male suspect entered the home making threats and was then shot by a resident. The resident says that the male had fled the scene on foot to a nearby home. (Follow link for more)
