79-year-old man kills home invasion suspect, deputies looking for 2 other suspects
JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A suspect is dead after Jefferson County authorities say a homeowner shot him during an overnight burglary. Responding sheriff's deputies found a 79-year-old homeowner sitting on his front porch at a home in the 2400 block of Ormand Drive around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.
KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — The five suspects arrested in a Kinston break-in are all Greenville teens, according to a news release from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office. Nasym Harris, 17, Darryl Blount Jr., 17, Nyshiem Cantey, 17, Tzyire Cantey, 18, Corey Jones Jr., 17, were arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and felony conspiracy.

The Phill Road homeowner told the Escambia County (AL) Sheriff’s Office that his family was sleeping about 2 a.m. Saturday when they were awakened by the sound of breaking glass and realized that someone was inside their home. The homeowner retrieved his handgun and went into the living room. As he cocked the weapon, the suspect came up from behind a couch asking the homeowner not to shoot. The homeowner’s wife called 911.
