A Friday morning shooting at Rodeway Inn has been determined to be self-defense, according to Jackson police. Deputy Chief Tyreece Miller said officers found a man in room 114 with a gunshot wound after a shooting was reported around 8:40 a.m. Miller said the man, who has not been named, was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where he remained Friday afternoon. His injuries are serious but are not believed to be life-threatening. More here......
CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. - Cherokee County sheriff's investigators are searching for a man wanted in connection with a home invasion and shootout. Deputies say Justin Pruitt, 29, is one of two masked men who broke into a home near Old Mill Road early Tuesday morning and shot at a homeowner. More here.....

APPLE VALLEY – One suspect was shot and the other remains at large following an armed robbery at an Apple Valley pharmacy on Friday evening. Just before 7:00 p.m. two black men entered Jonathan’s Pharmacy located at 19341 Bear Valley Road. The two went into the location and demanded money from the two employees at the pharmacy.
