What The Media Won't Tell You About Today's NRA Speeches

The media has a narrative about the NRA: It's a racist and sexist organization composed mostly of white males.  They won't mention that the NRA elected a female, Jewish president  years ago - something that the nation has yet to do.  They won't mention that that there are several black NRA board members.  They won't mention that one of the organization's primary media figures is black and another is a woman.  They certainly will not tell you that the NRA is quite intentionally reaching out to the Black Community and to women.  However, all of this is only context for today's news that won't be covered.

Today's speakers included three black people: SHERIFF DAVID A. CLARKE, LT. COL. ALLEN WEST (RET.), and ANTONIA OKAFOR.  Does the NRA have enough black members?  No way.  Are they make a genuine and persistent effort to reach out to the black community?  Absolutely!
